There are no critical facilities, structures (public or private) that are known to have repetitive losses. Common losses have been incurred in utility distribution systems, but these losses have not always been at the same locations and are therefore not considered repetitive. There are no known residential or commercial structures that have experienced repetitive losses. The methodology used to calculate replacement value was based on (1) current tax records available at the time, (2) land values, and (3) value of contents based upon records. These figures where combined and elevated to year 2001 values, based on current local property valuation. It should be emphasized the figures in the "replacement value" column of each table are only estimates and would have to be recalculated for actual loss at the time such loss occurred.

The Fictitious County Government Center and Annex, 200 South Center Street, Fictitiouston,  encompasses numerous county agencies, including the County Managers' office, County Commission meeting area, Finance, Purchasing, Clerk to the Board, Tax Assessor, Tax Collector, Human Resources, Switchboard, Veterans Service, GIS/Mapping, Elections, and Information Systems. Each of these departments are critical to the continuity of county government.

Fictitious County Hall of Justice  It is the main facility for all court operations in Fictitious County and includes offices for magistrates, Clerk of Superior Court, Register of Deeds, courtrooms for both District and Superior Court. It also houses judges chambers and offices for the District Attorney. It is a two story brick and mortar building, constructed in 1972.  Fictitious County Hall of Justice Annex is located beside the Hall of Justice and at the corner of North Tradd Street and Water Street. It will house offices for the District Court on the upper level and the Register of Deeds on the lower level. Also on the lower level is the Emergency Operations Center. Electric utilities are provided by the City of Fictitiouston.  

Fictitious County Sheriff's Office is located at 230 North Tradd Street in Fictitiouston. This critical facility is the main law enforcement building for the County. It is a brick and mortar building. Electric utilities are provided by the City of Fictitiouston. It has full generator back up power as well as radio remote. The facility is operated 24/7. The facility has back-up communications in the form of two-way radio.

Fictitious County Detention Facility (Jail) is located at 221 East Water Street in Fictitiouston. This critical facility is the central detention center for the County. It is a brick and mortar high security building. Electric utilities are provided by the City of Fictitiouston. The facility has back-up communications in the form of two-way radio.

Fictitious County Solid Waste Facility:  There are two transfer stations. One located in north Fictitious and the other in south Fictitious. Solid Waste has three buildings at the main site.  Electric utilities are provide by Energy United. This critical facility would supply the County with almost all debris management in the event of a disaster that generated such debris. Each facility has back-up communications in the form of two-way radio.

Fictitious County Health Department:  Provides health and related services and is the agency responsible for communicating information to the public regarding biological issues and other health issues. Electric utilities are provide by Energy United. The facility has back-up communications in the form of two-way radio.

Fictitious County Dept of Social Services: Provides assistance to citizens in many forms including food stamp program, etc.  It houses mostly office space and some small conference room space. Electric utilities are provided by the City of Fictitiouston.

Fictitious County Emergency Medical Service has four bases of operation. The main base is located in Fictitiouston. This facility not only houses EMS units 24/7, but also houses offices for the director, supervisor, training officer and the billing division. Electric utilities are provided by the City of Fictitiouston.  The base electric utilities are provided by Duke Energy.  The Harmony base electric utilities are provided by Energy United. The Bogus City base electric utilities are provided by Duke Energy. Each facility has back-up communications in the form of two-way radio.

Fictitious County Vehicle Service Center provides vehicle service to the entire county fleet including units from the Sheriff's Office, Fire Marshal, Recreation, etc. Electric utilities are provided by the City of Fictitiouston. The facility has back-up communications in the form of two-way radio.

Fictitious County Planning and Inspections provides inspection operations for the entire county. During disaster operations the facility will be used to carry out those functions as well as assist in damage assessment.

Fictitious County Maintenance provides maintenance operations from this central location to support all buildings and grounds of the county. This facility also provides support functions to all departments as well as maintenance supplies.

Fictitious County Animal Control provides animal control operations including the animal shelter. This central location has enforcement officers, office staff and kennel operations.

Fictitious County Rescue Squad provides rescue operations in its jurisdiction. This  location has rolling stock bays, as well as training facilities and sleeping quarters for rescue personnel.

County Volunteer Fire Departments provide general and specialized fire and emergency response. VFD's are contracted to provide service to the county.

NC Department of Transportation (state office) The district office complex provides office and shop space for this vital agency. NCDOT also has IMAP and numerous personnel and vehicles that can respond within reasonable periods to emergency roadway conditions. This agency also has snow removal and other debris removal equipment.

NC State Highway Patrol Office (state office) provides offices for the highway patrol, Troop F. This office is commanded locally by a First Sergeant. In addition it houses administration for the local troop, as well as offices and facilities for the drivers license division of the NC Department of Motor Vehicles. The facility has back-up communications in the form of two-way radio in SHP vehicles.

North Fictitious Rescue Squad provides rescue operations in its jurisdiction. This  location has rolling stock bays, as well as training facilities and sleeping quarters for rescue personnel.

Fictitious Memorial Hospital provides general hospital care, emergency care and other hospital related functions. In addition to patient care, this facility also houses offices for administration and non-patient care operations.

Lake Norman Regional Medical Center provides general hospital care, emergency care and other hospital related functions. In addition to patient care, this facility also houses offices for administration and non-patient care operations.

Davis Regional Medical Center provides general hospital care, emergency care and other hospital related functions. In addition to patient care, this facility also houses offices for administration and non-patient care operations.

Fictitiouston City Hall / City Office Building these two separate facilities house a number of city offices including administration, light and water billing, planning, mayors office personnel and some offices for the police department and the fire marshals offices. These two facilities provide the primary operations for continuity of government for the City of Fictitiouston. Council meeting chambers are located in City Hall. These facilities are provided electric utilities by the City of Fictitiouston.

Fictitiouston Police Department provides law enforcement services for the jurisdiction of the city. This facility houses emergency communications for the police department as well as after hours and emergency contact for light and water operations. Offices include those for patrol, investigations, narcotics, records and administration. Electric utilities are provided by the City of Fictitiouston. The facility has back-up communications in the form of two-way radio.

Fictitiouston Fire Department. There are three stations associated with the fire department. Each station is houses general fire fighting equipment, sleeping quarters and training areas. The main station also houses administration. Electric utilities are provided by the City of Fictitiouston to all three stations. Each facility has back-up communications in the form of two-way radio.

Fictitiouston Water Filtration Plant(s) provides the water distribution and water treatment for the jurisdiction. There are three separate facilities. Each facility has back-up communications in the form of two-way radio.

Fictitiouston City Garage and Warehouse provides fleet vehicle maintenance and houses offices and supplies for the cities electric distribution system. This facility is the central location for all fleet operations and includes sanitation, light and water, streets, etc.

Fictitiouston Municipal Airport provides general aviation services. One runway as well as taxiways are  available. Runway 10/28 is 5,004 feet.  The FBO (fixed base operator) is Fictitiouston Flying Service. On average 85 general aviation aircraft of various sizes are based at the airport.

Town Hall provides almost all functions of municipal government for the town including water billing, administration, town council meeting facilities and the police department. Electric utilities are provided by Duke Power.

Rescue Squad provides rescue operations in its jurisdiction. This  location has rolling stock bays, as well as training facilities and sleeping quarters for rescue personnel. (also see Fire Department)

Water Department  these facilities provide maintenance and warehouse space for the department. All billing is done through the Town Hall. Electric utilities are provide by Duke Power.

American Red Cross occupies non government facilities. There are two separate facilities in Fictitious County.  Electric utilities are provide by the City of Fictitiouston for the Fictitiouston office. The second location is in Bogus City. Utilities are provided by Duke Power for this facility.  American Red Cross operations in Fictitious County are part of the Greater Carolinas Chapter ARC, headquartered in Charlotte.
